Fish landing jetties are built for the purpose of landing sea produce and as a mooring place for boats. In addition, fish landing jetties also function as catalysts in the surrounding area for economic activities such as the sale of fresh fish and other sea products. A total of 372 jetties have been built throughout Malaysia as shown in the diagram below.
