    • Quality Surveillance of Fish Landing Sites for Fish Export to the European Union

    Introduction

    Water and ice quality monitoring programmes are carried out on water and ice sources to determine the source of water used at fish landing sites are recognized as complying with drinking water quality standards (portable water) subject to the Food Regulations 1985 and Council Directive 98/83/EC: Quality of Water Intended for Human Consumption.

    • The process of sampling and in-situ analysis of physical parameters in the field.
    • Delivery of samples to the official laboratories of the Department of Chemistry Malaysia for the analysis of biological and chemical parameters.
