Aquaculture development is carried out through the Fishermen Community Aquaculture Capacity Enhancement programme with a focus on the involvement of the Fishermen’s Association target group.
The objectives of the programme are as follows:
LKIM encourages the involvement and investment of the private sector in the field of aquaculture to operate and develop high impact aquaculture projects (High Impact Project, HIP) within the Aquaculture Industrial Zone (ZIA) on lands owned by LKIM.
